Still wondering around in Silent Hill, a bizarre place after another in total darkness with one little lamp... @_@ My nerves are totally out by now, but I'm proud of myself fighting through those weird puzzles and creatures I bump inot all the time... This game seems to be Endless.

To tell the truth, is a really outstanding game. It has almost everything a game must have. The continuity of the story, in my opinion is somewhat odd, because sometimes, you get to arrive a room and a certain cinematic appears, but with no reason at all, i thank the story, but i simply am not used to this kind of story telling
Have good luck finding it because it's really good. Much people still compares the new Castlevanias (even the 3D ones) to this, and after seeing the design of some enemies (the blue shades of the caves are really nice, or the succubus), some levels, the gothic ambientation it has, it's simply beautyful

Is "Castlevania" the type of game which may have inspired such games like "Resident Evil"? As in, are these titles similar in terms of game content?
I've been playing excessive amounts of World of Warcraft recently (which is awesome. A truly fantastic MMORPG), but I also intend to play more of MGS3 soon. From what I've played of it so far, it is fantastic. Not quite sure whether it is comparable to the first, but thus far, it both surpasses and defecates on MGS2.
I bought my bro "Zone of the Enders 2" for his birthday, which I think I may attempt soon as well, but so far I haven't gotten a chance. Has anyone else completed this game, and if so, what was yur personal opinion about it?

IRT Melfice: if i tould you how i got it... a guy i met online found it in P2P, so, he said "If you want some games, i'll send it to you for free" i said yes, and that's how i got it.
You got an illegal copy. You must delete it immediately. Please don't talk about this in the board, it borders moderation and may get the board in trouble.

IRT Ashie: OT: which makes me wonder, how in heck do the herbs heal people in RE? Do they press the herbs on their wound or eat it to miraculously cure their injuries?
They eat it, and it restores dead blood cells, by reviving them - the herbs are special because they have a small amount of the viruses inside of them (that's why they can revive the cells, by a small mutation), that's why they ONLY grom in the Raccoon city region.
About to blue herbs, they simply clean poisons, like people used some medicinal herbs in the old times. They have a nature like that.
About red herbs, they are simply drugs, that boost the effect of other herbs. Maybe similar to "speed".

Although both games share the horror theme, they're still very different from each other. Castlevania has more action-oriented controls and moves than Resident Evil (read: Whip combos ;P), although RE4 may prove me wrong once I play it.
Also, RE relies on saving up your resources in order to survive as well as managing what you need to bring due to a limited inventory. While in Castlevania, you have unlimited inventory so there's no need to worry about running out of item space. Furthermore, monsters occasionally drop items and there's the item store so you don't have to worry about running out of items.
And to finish this off, one has a chance to survive since the save point always heals the player, in contrast to Resident Evil where you have to rely on the old hearbs and first aid spray to survive. (OT: which makes me wonder, how in heck do the herbs heal people in RE? Do they press the herbs on their wound or eat it to miraculously cure their injuries? )
Anyhow, that's my opinion on the difference between RE and Castlevania. I hope I made sense in that.
And back to the topic: I'm currently playing Tekken 5 and Musashi: Samurai Legend on PS2. Although I might quit playing M: SL if it doesn't have anything new to add to the gameplay. : /

Everyone needs to play DMC3. And play DMC1 if you haven't, while you're at it.
